Last week the battery in my watch died. Because I’ve been pretty busy with work and school, I didn’t have time to have the battery replaced. Instead I’ve been using my phone in place of a watch. I always have it with me, so it’s not a huge deal, except for the fact that I feel completely “naked” without my watch.
Yesterday, I was reading one of my favorite coupon blogs, when I saw a post about a coupon that people were using to score a free watch. After reading a bunch of the comments I headed over to Target where I purchased a $4.99 pair of earrings (see above) and a $34.99 Timex watch. I used a buy-one get-one free Target mobile coupon on my phone to snag the watch for free. Total cost of my purchase (earrings and watch) $4.99 plus tax! Awesome, considering I needed a watch (or at least a new battery) anyway. Maybe my
patience err my busy schedule paid off this time?
About a month ago, bf and I were doing a little window shopping at the mall. I saw a few cute bracelets, but didn’t buy any of them because I thought they were a little too juvenile for me to wear to work. The were simple little bands with metal letters that spelled words like, “love” “peace” etc. They were pretty inexpensive (less than $10 a piece), but because I couldn’t wear them to work, I decided against purchasing one.
About a week after I saw the bracelets, bf came home with one. Where did he find it? On the street. Apparently the dog was sniffling along when he found one on the sidewalk. I put an ad on Craigslist trying to find the owner, but got no response so I decided to keep it. I’m not sure I’m a “sweetheart”, but I the bracelet sure fit my budget (free!). Again, patience hesitancy pays off!
